If they did think that Power Ponies was all the…“development” he needed though, and don’t make anything else for him this season, then that flat out means they really just have no idea what to do with him from now on, which would suck more than anything.

Ironically when Spike has a crush it’s pretty much low key and tamed…. he hasn’t done anything rash or obsessive except help her with her work or do serve her. And some people still hate that.
Rarity is all Helga Petaki building a shrine and everything. Willing to take such disrespect or be ignored.
And behold bronies are all assuming Spike would be an obsessive creep? God the writers are either building him up or don’t know a damn thing what to do with his character.
