Or the fact that this portrayal is a gross oversimplification, even of only a single aspect of the fandom (cosplay). Then again, every single time furries are portrayed in media, it’s the cosplay element, simply because it’s the most visually obvious part of the fandom and thus the easiest to mock openly.
