Given that we have already seen pics of the future arc where Twi is a superheroine using “magic” it looks like Velvet’s seal didn’t worked out in the end or got undone somehow.
 
Also damn, that’s cruel itself to erase all of Twi’s memories of her family and of what had happened and live all alone from now on…
 
Though I guess she will end up in an orphanage or something similar? Maybe she will meet RD there? Dunno.
 
Anyways, looks like the intro arc is soon over and then that means timeskip. Still hope we get to see Dr. D and some more stuff told which we only know of from dogzzz comments so far.
 
Also Velvet is hardcore for being able to stand and cast and smile with such a wound!

So you’d rather Twilight be beyond traumatized from the fact that her brother and parents are dead (since neither Twi nor Velvet know that Night and Shining will survive) and in her mom’s case it’s in fact her fault, however accidental? And potentially worse than that, have her be hunted, or exploited by, whatever Sombra Corp is doing?
 
The point in this comic isn’t that what Velvet’s doing is okay, it’s that Velvet doesn’t have a choice. All of Sombra Corp, especially Chrysalis, will be looking for Twi. This is the best chance Twi can have to at least survive long enough to either grow strong enough to oppose them, if not just live a normal life instead.

I hate this trope. The trope where the main character, “is too powerful, we have to seal away her power and erase her memories”. It’s just used to create fake drama later on.

Ok, guys I don’t like the fact that the creator had Twi’s memories erased anymore than you do, but think about this for a second. You have a young twilight who just watched her mom, brother and father harmed in front of her, then she kills or attempts to kill the same person that harmed her family but is stopped from making a emotional voice that could scare her for life. If u were in Velvet’s shoes wouldn’t want to protect Twi the best way possible, by hiding her in plain sight, which means making her “normal” (taking away the very thing others would kill for - her power - and sealing it up along with the knowledge of its existence). I mean I would, especially on my dying breath.
