“It would be a sad error in judgement, General Button, to mistake me for a corpse… I’ve seen the future - our Tiberium future - and as you watch this battle just beginning to unfold, I’ve already seen the final act! It is my destiny to lead the way for all ponykind”

Like Mental Omega for example…
LETS ALL HUG THE ION BEAM!!!! FOR NOD!!!
Change that to “EA and Activision both”, otherwise Activision will buy the rights and sit on them.
I’ll join in on that.
Cheers and let the Giant die drowning in it’s own waste.
I’d toast to that
(raises glass) Cheers
Let’s just hope EA goes bankrupt and are forced to sell off the rights.
Which translates to “We fucked it up and now EA is closing us down, sorry, ya gonna have to wait 30 years for another CNC game now”
I was actually interested in that game, and wanted it to release just so I can play the campaign.
Welp, no time to mope around. Got the original Generals and Zero Hour, plus I got Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 to pass the time.
I have mixed feelings on this. Would have been nice to have a new Generals game.
Though hopefully we’ll get a good CNC. Probably not considering this is EA.
Yup.
You might have to open the image in a new tab to read the text.
Wait really?
Which got cancelled yesterday because, in their words, “it was not the game the fans wanted to play”.
Ok, I’ll grant you ME2 (hell, even I enjoyed it, all it’s flaws granted)
@Revan0123
Yeah, I’m was disappointed when I heard about those things not being in the game. I still like TS, but damn, those things would’ve made the game awesome.
Truthfully I am okay with some of the Ideas that came from TT.
But the story itself was horrible altogether. At least it couldn’t get any worse.
Also God dammit EA.
What’s even worse is that since game was rushed out by EA thanks to a push in it’s release date, many gameplay and engine features were cut out (Though some were put back in when Firestorm came out).
There some new features that didn’t make the final cut. For example there was supposed to be a loadout screen before the mission which allowed you to pick units before starting. Another example was that drop pods were supposed to be customizable for GDI before you deployed them.
Lighting was intended to make a huge difference for day and night play, as units spotted by light posts or towers would be susceptible to enemy fire at greater ranges, and in turn would suffer a reduction in their own range ability.
Westwood also planned the Hunter/Seeker Droid option to support selection of target types, but ultimately the droid was made to attack at random.
The developers didn’t have enough time to finalize balanced differences in the terrain types, or to make The Forgotten a full faction for the expansion, as it was initially intended.
At least the next C&C is not gonna be a free to-
GODDAMNIT!!!
Could be worse.
At least they didn’t turn it into a crappy free social web game.
Oh. Wait…
HEY! I liked Mass Effect 2! I will agree on 3 though…
Of course. I was only speaking in hypotheticals, given EA’s history of ruining games (ahem Mass Effect 2 and 3 ahem).
A shame they never made a sequel to Tiberium Wars…
That never happened at all.
EA did…with the worst C&C game ever
Also wasn’t the Tacitus supposed to be from another different alien species?
For anyone reading this and going “huh?” or “what the hell are you talking about!?”, the original idea for the Tacitus was that it came from the Martians, not The Scrin. They seeded Mars in Tiberium then, after a while, they harvested it, leaving the planet a shadow of it’s former self. The Martians, seeing primitve Earth as the next possible target for The Scrin later on, decided to send the Tacitus to Earth with the knowledge of the Scrin so they can, where they failed, beat The Scrin.
It was actually a brilliant idea, TOO BAD EA DECIDED TO FUCK THAT IN THE ASS AND THROW IT IN THE GARBAGE BIN!!!
