A spike is a pointy thing, a barb is a pointy thing. “Barb” is also short for an established female name.

I have one little question if you don’t mind,can someone explain tio me why R63 Spike is nicknamed Barb,i have nothing against the nickname,mind you,it’s just (maybe because English is not my mothertongue)i fail to see a connection between the name Spike and Barb
