Nah. Typically with portals, it’s an either/or proposition: either you get through unharmed or you don’t get through at all. The only real risk is that Twilight would be lost forever in the void between worlds, every last molecule of her body scattered to the four winds.

i wonder, if the mirror still worked despite being cracked, and twilight went through, would something happen to her? would the cracks infect her or change her adversely?

I reiterate: All this talk about whether the sledgehammer could have damaged the portal, and barely a mention of the fact that Sunset Shimmer’s bluff was called, and she didn’t even try to break the portal.

I know people tend to ask how Sunset could destroy the portal when they should ask how in the hell is she able to lift a sledgehammer to begin with. Did she borrow steroids from the football team or something?

Not really. The last panel does come from Quantum Leap, which ended by saying that “Dr. Sam Beckett never returned home,” but there it happened for very different reasons.

flawed logic if she struck the mirror with the hammer it woulda just gone throw if she wanted to break it she woulda had to of hit the side of the statue at the corner the mirror was on much harder then she could have…or just waited till time ran out and it became a normal mirror.
