Personally I think she never really resisted. If she’d wanted to escape she could have easily done so a long time ago. Either she loves Octavia enough to put up with her excessively obsessive mother, or she never really hated being treated like a foal. This image would suggest it’s the latter.
Yeah I noticed that too, the little smile on the last panel… looks like Vinyl finally gave in.
Strong as an ox, too, if juggling Vinyl like a newborn is any indication! o.O
