tbh, I’m judging the art based on the art. I have no knowledge of the OC in question beyond this image. honestly he looks a bit of a douche, but my point was that he has a color scheme that doesn’t rape the eyes and the art is decent.

The coloring is easy on the eyes, but still bland as hell.  
I could hardly read the fanfic it was so much of a self-insert.

Who said anything about his color scheme? he does have a good color scheme,has a good cutie mark design and even his name is acceptable and not an synonym of anything overly edgy.
 
And it’s a shame,because that ultimately doesn’t matter if:
 
-He’s an alicorn  
-He’s the ultimate flawless hero  
-He’s the boyfriend of a main character,in this case,Twilight
 
Heck,he’s not even an “original” original chracter if the creator stated he’s a based of a Lord of the Rings protagonist.
 
At least the creator’s other OC,who is a Zebra is a lot more decent than this Courageous Heart.

I love all of these people bitching about the alicorn OC when at least THIS emotionless male figure has a decent color scheme.

Good art wasted on lame OC. But it is pretty funny though how the OC looks as much if not more feminine than Twilicorn.

Nothing wrong with OCs when they’re well done. This guy has a good design and the art’s very nice.
