yup.
mlp fim, all the potential of something awesome but falls short every single time.
As true as that is(not a lot), I think we might be set for disappointment in that regard.
so far we have been told and shown that alicorns are made from a long and hard life of challenge and only the very most special get to ascend.
to be born one would be like a middle finger.
That was slightly inappropriate for an image of this nature. Keep it clean and above the belt, if you know what I mean.
It would toss a wrench into things if “the best foalsitter ever” faced issues with her own kid.
A very comedic, well-timed wrench.
I’m afraid I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum, as Cadance’s backstory didn’t endear her to me. If anything, it just reinforced the “perfect princess” stigma.
And that’s my chief concern if she and Shining Armor did have a child. She’s already been presented as a perfect princess and ruler, I worry she’d be shown as a perfect mother.
“Prince” is actually his surname. His parents (who are turnip farmers) named him such so they could later name a new breed of turnips after him, to compete with the King Edward potatoes.
Thanks to a series of misunderstandings, though, a lot of ponies THINK he’s a prince, so he gets invited to a lot of fancy events. He’s doing his best to keep them from finding out the truth, and acting like an insufferable snob is vital to keeping them from realizing he’s a farmpony.
Celestia knows, of course, but keeps it going because she finds the whole thing hilarious.
G.M. Berrow watches the show and is apparently an avid fan, but she only knew so much. The Gilda and Trixie cameos weren’t incredibly distracting, and she presented probably the best way Cadance can fit into the story.
I really hope it is used, it works well.
personally, the comic is considered non-canon to me.
it can be its own little universe just like EqG I guess.
I’d chalk the continuity issues up to the book’s author not being told much about season 3 outside of Twilight becoming a princess. If this is the case, nice move Hasbro.
As for Blueblood, I consider his situation to be Celestia’s attempt at appeasing the nobility.
Maybe royal titles worked normally until alicorns were shoehorned in and they still have issues melding them together.
I’m not sure if the books are considered part of the show’s continuity. Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell had some pretty glaring continuity issues, especially with Trixie and Gilda.
Setting that aside, there’s also the question of Prince Blueblood. He doesn’t appear to have done anything to earn his title, so it may still be hereditary.
That’s an awesome canon!
It shouldn’t be, since Cadance wasn’t born an alicorn. Book canon says that she was a pegasus orphan who ascended after defeating a sorceress.
It wasn’t for Cadance and it wasn’t for Twilight.
@SlayerBVC
This.
That’s actually something we haven’t covered. Is it hereditary?
