I could guess that it could be Spike because he is different from other dragons. For example, instead of trogs, he has a crest on his head

we did see spike on all fours in Secret of Excess when he grew big due to greed. and chapter 5 did seem to have the gem from that same friendship is magic episode.

I doubt it’s Spike for the reason that Blaize already seems to be the main dragon, so relegating Spike to being the unremarkable secondary dragon this purple dragon appears to be would be odd. Knowing Hasbro though, maybe they would go that low.

For anyone that asks, I really don’t think that purple and green dragon is meant to be Spike. For one thing, Spike stood on two legs, rather than walked on all fours. Also, even if they did retcon that and had him walk on four legs, he would look much older than how that dragon appears here, given the vast amount of time that passed between the end of Friendship is Magic with ‘the Final Problem’ and the beginning of ‘a New Generation’.
Also, I could be wrong, but that dragon also appears to be female, which would completely eliminate any pretence of that being Spike.
