25th Oct 2022, 6:00 AM in What About Discord?I had this whole nerdy write-up answering the question “Why didn’t Discord just teleport away (again)?” with this idea of Tirek not just grabbing him in a telekinetic hold but trapping him in a very tiny but visible special pocket dimension so that no matter where he ‘teleported’ in that space he’d always remain in that position…It got cut for killing the flow, is what I’m saying.

DM: Tirek activates his magic… <roll> …and it successfully grabs Discord.
Discord: *WHAT?!* But… the medallion!
DM: It doesn’t seem to be doing anything.
Discord: You… He tricked me?? *How??* I’m a god! A trickster!
DM: To be fair, you could have rolled a skill check at–
Discord: *ROLLED?!*
DM: …at any time to find out the medallion’s true function. But you didn’t, so…
Discord: But… But Tirek! You need me!
Tirek: Didn’t you JUST explain all the reasons why I don’t?
Discord: …Oh. Right. …Girls? Any bright ideas?
Pinkie Pie: Hmmm… All outta bright, sorry!
Rainbow Dash: Can’t hear you over the schaden… scha–
Applejack: Schadenfreude.
Rainbow Dash: Yeah, that.
Tirek: Are you done? *Good.*
(Tirek drains Discord’s magic. Discord falls to the ground.)
Fluttershy: Are you… okay? Do you need a minute or two?
Discord: I’m just… flabbergasted. Dumbstruck. How long has it been since I was truly, soundly defeated? Years? A decade? …I could probably use some fresh air and a long walk.
