On new Vs old one. About my only hang up with the new one is, I don’t really know how to describe it. Plastic surgery face I guess I’d call it? With drawn on makeup eyebrows and a vacant porn expression.
The overall art, style, attention to detail, and quality of the work, has skyrocketed up over the past decade.
But her face in the new one looks like she went to a plastic surgeon and told them “Mess me up so it looks like I was a blow-up doll, born just to suck dick”. Which if that was the intention, then 100% very well executed. I mean she makes it very clear that she wants BIG. DICKS.
Most times it’s plenty great though, everything over the past year or so or so has just looked stylized with plenty of personality and character, outside of ones specifically going for the bimbo look.
Nobody asked, and 99.99% of the time I just stay silent regardless of what I think. For some reason I decided to try and express my thoughts on this one.
TL;DR: Huge improvement in overall art quality and style going from old to new, massive steps up. But the face has me running for the hills. Now take my fave and yay!

The hair over her eye in the original gives a little more emo look, but everything else in this looks phenomenally better on the right. The structure of her ears, breasts, eyes, snout, even how her torso enters her hips, they all have a distinctive style. I think the part in particular I notice are the shines like on her tail and hair; a mix of sharp and soft shadows/shines I think are one of the more tell-tale signs of a pro artist; it’s quite easy to do one or the other, but it takes expertise to use both at the right time.

Ah, Double Entendre, the pony who is the cause of my affinity for monochrome thots. I love this version of her more than the one featured in the playing cards a few years back. Nice to see that old pic got a beautiful remaster with some extra thotness, the new one’s hair and face is very pretty too.

Certainly, and it’s not that I prefer the old one because it’s “better” but because it reminds me of all the energy and zest of the early fandom. It’s kind of amazing how after thousands of pieces - and over a decade - people can still instantly recognize your style.
