Twilight definitely has accidentally called Celestia Mom at one point in her life. That’s my headcanon. :P
Which makes Thorax being a doting cinnamon roll all the sweeter as her successor. Where Chrysalis would have scolded, shouted (or worse) at drones who messed up, I can see Thorax reassuring them it’s okay to mess up, and giving hugs out like candy on Nightmare Night.
Haha, that is true. Thorax is a better parent than Chrysalis. XD
Considering what we saw in the show, that sounds about right for Chrysalis.
I’d argue Chrysalis never acted like a mother once in her life either in practice or in concept, but yes, Thorax is definitely cute in doing the role. x)
Shouldn’t it be more like “they’re not our kids!”? :P

I like how it’s like Chrysalis’ mother-like role but more paternal. That’s just adorable. Thorax is best dad. :3
Thorax is prime dad material for the entire hive, it’s probably not just directed at Ocellus. One of his first major acts as king was to introduce new hive activities so everyone would be happier (To Change a Changeling).
