Description
The one I uploaded earlier, >>2743639 (merged), was acquired from Twitter, and evidently Twitter converts PNG’s into JPG, thus killing the transparency support, and even asking Twitter for a PNG gives just a JPG->PNG conversion which doesn’t support transparency either (lacks the alpha channel); it’s just an extremely lazy (and unnecessarily complicated) file format conversion instead of storing the original PNG.
Not to mention that the files from Twitter are of lower resolution.
It’s a mess. It’s why many don’t upload directly to Twitter.
haha, no.. of course jpg doesn’t support transparency.. hmm.. I thought Twitter did support transparency with PNG though but I must be mistaken… idk why I thought that
JPG doesn’t, PNG does, but the PNG that Twitter provided didn’t until I added alpha channel.
It should support transparency? I’m gonna say that’s user error..
Ok, I uploaded that one as >>2744868, which Derpibooru’s systems automatically picked up as a superior one to this. If you wanna keep this one, either download this one (>>2743639 (merged)) now or get it from Twitter.
Hmm, you might be right, as even the PNG given by Twitter has the bg and lacks alpha channel => no support for transparency …
