I like how ignorant and uneducated this comment is. Afford things? Lol, wait till you break a leg, have serious flu, or want to retire. A lot of wage slaves think things going okay till they hit first problem and find out why civilized countries have certain laws and privileges USA lacks. And you seriously compare all of murders in one country to tiny slice in the other? Look up murders per 1000 people, you will quickly change your tune if this is not a troll post. Also, it’s obvious you never tried to talk to US police, do it and you’ll change your tune too.
What about murder by percentage? venezuela is considered the worst country in that regard save for war zones. And police? PFFFFFF. At least not all of US police work in favor of criminals, unlike venezuelan. Let’s not get started with the military. And I’m the uneducated 😏

Poverty? What poverty? That there are a handful of people holding 90% of wealth? So what? Why you need that money? Unless you are in extreme poverty, you can afford basic things, and then some. I’m happier being mid-low class in the US rather than being mid-high class in venezuela. Not only I can find things I want and need, but can also afford it, and I don’t live watching my back constantly
Violence? What part “over 40 murders per week” you don’t understand? And that was years before I’ve left that hellhole, today that number increased. In comparison, the second worst terrorist attack on US soil, the gay bar shooting here in Orlando, killed just under 60 people. What does that tell you? That every other time there’s a mass shooting, less people killed in them than per week with the out of control crime in venezuela

I’m Mexican, and I’ve also seen gun violence up close. However, I still think it’s not to say the US hasn’t come far making progress with our societal problems. Given how the country itself is barely 250 years old, that has to count for something.

I mean we’re lucky we even HAVE police. Mexico is run by Cartels, certain African regions are run by drug-lords, and the Chinese Government can literally just scoop people up and you never hear from them again. Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan are LITERAL war zones compared to the U.S mass shootings.
I’m not saying the US is perfect. It’s not, in fact we should abolish the CIA and FBI since they clearly don’t give a sh*t about their own citizens. We have a lot to work on, and we HAVE made A LOT of progress as a country. But it’s absolutely hypocritical to pretend this still isn’t a country that millions of people are and have been willing to DIE just get in, not because it’s a “good” country, but because it’s the land of “opportunity”,
Besides, many of the problems in the US ARE NOT exclusive to the US. They’re global. Many, but not all, of course.

Yes, those countries have issues, but they’re NOWHERE as serious as they are in the US. Tell me, What other country has routine police brutality, daily mass shootings, deep-rooted racism and toxic anti-intellectualism?

You brag about how bad Venezuela is, but easily overlook how US/CIA intervention and foreign meddling has played a big part in destabilizing Latin/South America, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. That’s one of the worst aspects of the US and its society. They refuse to learn from objectionably better countries and instead look for scapegoats and enemies to blame their hardships on. You can be offended and say how wrong I am, when in fact I’m giving the honest truth that the rest of the sane world believes. I’ve been to other nations and many of them agree with what I’ve said. Facts over feelings.
Many of the problems like racism are exaggerated. Where’s my oppression, hmm? I’m an immigrant for God’s sake, I’m supposed to be oppressed around here. And also, the US had little to shit to do about venezuela. Those were excuses by my ex-God’s chavez, and “inmaduro”

You mean like people Authoritarian China? Or Putin’s Russia? or Protest-ridden Australia? Or Cartel-run Mexico? Or Banana Republic Venezuela? Or Castro’s Cuba?
I was specifically referring to developed countries such as Austria, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland Taiwan and the United Kingdom. Judging by your extreme pride and nationalism you probably wouldn’t be able to find most of them on a map anyway.
