As well as completely original, not set into the future and not referencing G4 in any way, shape or form.

I can’t understand why G.M. Berrow or whoever was at the helm thought it would be a good idea to set G5 1000 years after G4 when they had to get past WBD just to use FiM’s characters and lore, it was a disaster in the making to say the least. Hopefully Hasbro took G5’s failure as a wake-up call and will make G6 original and not connected to any generation AT ALL.

Hasbro should be to blame since they dug themselves into a hole with problems they should know that would happen.
And that they completely misunderstood why the fandom was so interested in G4. The characters was great yes. But that’s because they were written well. And g5 would have been more liked ifit was slightly better written and wasn’t split into two series.

I feel like Warner Bros. Discovery should get the blame more than Hasbro since they own G4 through the contract. Which legally limited Hasbro on what they could expand. But then again they should’ve made it completely separate from G4.

Now it’s been three years. All animated G5 media has ceased. Ik there are comics, but even then, it’s still sad to see what Hasbro has done to this generation.

but that won’t stop it from not being renewed when the current contract ends

Here’s what it comes across as to me:
 
Hasbro: “Here’s our new MLP series! All based around humans.”  
Fandom: “But I don’t see anything pony related on it”  
Hasbro: “We’ll just stick pony ears on the main cast. That way it is still My Little Pony, right?”  
Fandom: “You’ve got to be kidding me…”  
Hasbro: “Don’t worry; We are sure you’ll like it when you see it.”
 
It’s somewhat decent, but to me the ears don’t matter, and the only thing that truly makes it still My Little Pony is the occasional return to Equestria.
 
Basically, Equestria Girls feels more like a separate franchise that has multiple references and crossovers to the franchise that it pretends to be part of.

If the synopse is correct,then fim had not making sense!

Or you know, they could do without that filth since it was apparently toy sales tanking that got rid of the damn thing, the franchise is called My Little PONY for Christ sake and all that damn spin off achieved is that absurd multiplication of portal that came out of nowhere and that were just milked because Hasbro wanted to continue stepping on Mattel Monster High toes, this is fucking ridiculous the twist and turns they shoehorned just so they could churn out subpar Barbies, the mirror is closed because it only open every X moons ,whatev Twi can force it open, double whatev suddenly there is also a lost portal in the forest.Of all the alternate universe the show could explore where canonically there’s a world with Mexican sock puppets,the show bent over backwards to shove sexists model-thin Barbie knock off down our throat

I read that on the forum too and i dont know if it’s a 4chan rumor and it should remain that way and not being mentionned ever again, we have Barbie and Monster High if you’re into that content and it’s doubly insulting when Faust specifically designed FIM as an alternative to that content.Seeing bronies groveling backwards for more of “adventures of rail thin stick figures mannequin with the Mane 6 mane plastered on it in a mall getting ready for prom.One of them might fall in love at first sight for the cool leather clad hot throb” really does beg the question “what’s the point of making any efforts when it comes to girl media when you can still make the same toxic shit from the 80s and make a profit out of perverts huffing for feet screencaps”  
For the love of god,No EQG for G5 is the main point. 6 years of this dreadful spin off being a canonical creative parasite litteraly sucking off magic out of the G4 world (you cant make this shit up,there’s a plotline about another portal shit absorbing magic from the main world into that second one,you almost think the writer are trying to send us a message) is quite enough
