Since Nightmare Moon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis and the Changelings, King Sombra, Lord Tirek, Starlight Glimmer, the Pony of Shadows, Daybreaker, Cozy Glow, Sunset Shimmer, the Dazzlings, Midnight Sparkle, Cosmos, the Nightmare Forces, and the Living Apples were too close of overthrowing Celestia and Luna from ruling Equestria, The Storm King was the one successful on overthrowing Celestia and Luna, and begins to rule Equestria in a state of darkness. However, his victory was undone at the end of the film when he died by being smashed into bits while being turned into obsidian, the Magic was restored back to Equestria, his victims were de-petrified, and everything in Equestria the Storm King and his troops did was restored and liberated back to normal again.
