And yeah I think it’s peculiar that people downvote stuff like this. I can’t help but wonder why, as it makes zero sense to me. People’s differences and all that malarkey, I guess…

That should be investigated. If it’s consistent and persistent, it’s possible someone really is mass downvoting everything. Report the image, select “other” for the reason and explain the situation. It never hurts to have it checked.

Such an wholesome moment between a father and his daughter. However I have to question who would have the heart to downvote this?
Well, I can tell you there must be a user who watches me simply to down vote (almost) every image of mine. It happens far to quickly after submitting, and usually just seems to be the one vote, for it to be a coincidence. Been going on for a few years now.
 
Whilst I admire their persistence, I do find it a little sad.

Aight, a conjecture: given how Starlight never ever mentions her mother, her father’s overbearing nature, and her very close relationship with the kid next door, I think her mother died during childbirth. Firelight has always been a single father.
