I can totally imagine a G5 in which Twi is the ruler of Equestria (Celestia/luna died in an epic battle or died peacefully or moved on to the eternal realm or something like that) and that the offspring of Twi as well as her friends had after a couple hundred years taken over their duties as element bearers.
