Ocellus: It’s amazing learning new things about Griffons?
Silverstream: I thought you had all this written down from the textbooks you take out from the library?
Ocellus: Well yes, but it’s different to hear it from somecreature in person!
Yona: Changeling is weird sometimes…
Sandbar: So if it’s colder, you get fluffier?
Gallus: That’s putting it very simply but…. I guess so?
Sandbar:: *grins at Smolder* You thinking what I’m thinking?
Smolder:: *snickers* I’ll get the ice-cubes
Gallus: …Guys? What’re you whispering?
I can somewhat tolerate a 27C day, but not much more. I just hope we don’t have any long stretches of 40C+ this summer, or for that matter a significant amount of the country burning down.
If I have to spend time in 100 degree weather, it’s not going to make me like 80 degree weather any more. It’s still miserable either way. One is just more miserable than the other.
I’m Australian too.
Laughs in Australian Summer
In the UK myself, currently in the south west area. It was around 29-30 that day, had both the window wide open and the fan on and it wasn’t doing anything to cool me off.
Where u at? I’m in Ontario, Canada and it’s edging on +30
i never said this was a matter of sanity
@Background Pony Number 17
the ones I’m curious about are Yona and Smolder
As long as a heavy coat creature has cold water to drink they should be fine in hot weather; it’s insulation, all it does is limit heat transfer. Smolder I assume does what I’ve always pictured Spike doing, which is occasionally just walking into the fireplace and sitting on a log for a while.
Sounds more to me like he’s sane, and you’re crazy.
u a pussy, birdbro
i wear jackets in 100+, though that’s mostly to build endurance
31 here too. My brain is melting.
Yeees, someone who understands me!
We hit 31°C yesterday and the forecast says we’ll hit it again today and tomorrow and Saturday and who knows how many days after that. Guess I’ll die.
Here too - i mean, it doesn’t usually get like that, but last summer often had temperatures running on almost 40 °C, and on normal times, the maximum temperatures during the day are around 25 to 27 °C,
Edited
I would die if I had to stay at 76 in my own home. My house is set to 68 at the highest, and if it gets colder naturally then I’ll let it stay lower.
same here ish.
we keep the indoor temp at 76.
hot is.. mid-high 80s. melt you is 90’s with humidity.
.. which is what is was most of last week- its a wet oven and your freaking melting in minutes.
Indeed. Celsius is pretty much the worldwide standard. Fahrenheit is generally mostly used in the U.S.
I didn’t intend to start an argument which is better. I only reacted to the statement that it’s “science”.
5 degrees = 0.087 radians
27 degrees = 0.471 radians
I swear, if no one understands the reference to XKCD…
