EVEN CELESTIA IS AFRAID!!
That’s a shame, but at least he survived.
Sadly it has nothing to do with money but more health he suffered a stroke in 2012. he now talks a lot slower he does still do voice acting but he can’t do performance as he was known for anymore
Tim Curry was in many cartoons, including the original Sonic the Hedgehog, (as Princess Sally’s Dad) he couldn’t of been that difficult to get.
Having him as any character would’ve been cool.

What’s the point of having Lavan If they can’t get tim curry to play him XD
Seriously this remind me of the character he played in one of the beauty and the beast sequels
I remember those rumors. Oddly, I think I did see somebody speculate Groger was you-know-who all along.
Discord in disguise isn’t done much in the show, but it’s oddly done alot in fanfics.
Lavan would’ve been cool if introduced earlier in a previous episode, and came back with the Terrible Trio summoned by Groger.
I’m curious what a G4 Lavan would’ve looked like.
I find it especially funny that they slipped it in after all the “Discord is Starswirl” speculation. And I like that the villainous trio’s backstabbing plans weren’t swept aside so the big bad could have his moment.
That said, if it was Lavan who’s big return was being built up, I would probably have been more invested and then disappointed when it didn’t happen.
Those are some very interesting points
to be honest the twist didn’t bother me as much because it was pretty obvious he was not going to be the main baddie at the end
I have some mixed feelings too, on one hand I was looking forward to seeing if Groger would be like the “Thanos” of MLP, the biggest threat the series had so far, and I was looking forward to seeing more of him, and it’s nice to see another G1 villain rebooted…
On the other hand, it was a cleverly hidden unexpected twist, and it kinda explains some things throughout this season.
