I have to wonder if, due to their nature as places of order and knowledge and organization, not just Golden Oaks but all libraries in Equestria were naturally more resistant to Discord’s chaotic magic, making them temporary safe havens. I wonder if that was a factor during Celestia and Luna’s conflict against him a thousand years prior.

SFX: (CRASH!)
DM: …Rarity’s “diamond” takes out the doorframe – and part of the wall – when you try to force it into the building.
Twilight Sparkle: And now this literal madness is causing property damage. To MY property.
