There are still some groups on Facebook care about MLP, the largest one has nearly 5000 members, but all the groups just not as active as they’re used to be.

As for second question, while there are still some people doing the translations and subtitles(English to Chinese), drawings, writing fan fictions, but the numbers are drop significantly for past few years.

Well, at least when a new episode coming out, some folks still chatting and having fun in one of my Discord server that I joined XD

How can I barge into the comments when there’s only one other comment?

I don’t see why there’s a problem. As far as I can tell the only thing I can guess is I like talking about politics and you don’t.

But if that’s the case did you really expect there to be absolutely no talk of politics when you uploaded an image about something that happened politically in East Asia?

Ignoring the politics in the comments, I’m curious. Is there a significant group in Taiwan that still cares about a show made in Canada and America?

Is the fandom still doing things in Taiwan?

I don’t see anything in my comments that’s an insult to this art or to the person that posted it. Can you please tell me what sentence was a direct insult or attack?

As far as the political angle nothing in my comment was about politics it was about art. Specifically television animation as an art form.

The conversation of politics as it relates to identity, and identity as it relates to art are two different conversations.

If you disagree with me please tell me in what way you do.

As far as I can tell by your comments all you have stated is your assumption that I was offended by the existence of other human beings.

I’m not offended by the existence of human beings. I’m offended by the idea that making certain art forms reflect the reality of our world somehow makes that art better.

Sitcoms, drama shows, reality TV, and other entertainment offers plenty of avenues for giving commentary and representation for those who want it.

But when to comes to an animation, and especially fantasy worlds, the more reminders I have of the world that I live in the more I’m going to be pulled out of being invested in the stories that being told and the less I’m going to pay attention to the characters the show is trying to get me to care about.

There is absolutely a market for audiences of people of different sexualities, races, and genders.

As that continues to be true it is also true at the same time that sexuality is an identity and not a personality trait.

They can live in this world and have they can have human rights that’s perfectly fine. No problem with that in anyway. My opinion still stands that when you put ideology as a priority ahead of making a good characters and good stories whatever art is being made will always suffer.

No identity makes one human more valuable than another.
