There’s a reason a lot of the things on the “you know for kids” tag is from G1. Not even cute ponies could escape that 80s edge (and I don’t think I would want it any other way).
Yeah its a little light but it was still dark compared to the days of today what can i say it was the 80s
To be fair on G1, these characters specifically are babies. Also the My Little Pony ’n Friends show was generally lighter in tone compared the first two G1 specials (which while have bits of 80s corniness to them also have some 80s nightmare fuel in them too).
Well if you didn’t like it you wouldn’t be looking at it.
