Hasbro is not giving any fuck to the bronies. They simply are not against it but their merchandise haven’ t changed the target a little bit.
The animators are the ones that are quite amused by an unexpected adult fandom and insert some reference once in a while to make bronies happy. But this show is not mostly, but entirely made for little girls.

Yes, Hasbro is giving us some attention. But most of it is still on the kids. It would be interesting to see how much of the “little kid” demographic are boys.

There’s no pandering in this show. Pandering would have shown Trixie in a cardboard box while eating a pinecone. Pandering would have been a rabid Trixie fanpony following her around and fawning over her.
Faust liked what they did in today’s episode too, apparently.
