I agree. Sharia law is not kind to women at all, and being forced to wear a hijab (because that is what sharia law dictates) is very much against not only Fluttershy’s values but all of Equestria.
Ponies are primarily defined by their manes, eyes, and cutie marks. We know that from It Isn’t the Mane Thing About You, as Rarity is unrecognized once her main is covered and ruined.
That being said, it is possible that Equestrians would see the forced covering of one’s mane to be equal to the forced suppression of ones personality, and would be looked down upon since the narrative is to let yourself be you love others
I also don’t think that such a religion would make much sense in Equestria when considering how matriarchal they seem to be.
(also when it comes to race & stuff, I imagen ponies being Indo-European, & zebras as Niger-Congoan)
