Well Discord and Eris are cousins. But the Storm King, Tempest Shadow, Grubber, Strife, and the Storm Creatures do not exist in the dimension that Eris is ruling.
They are cousins
Wait. Does that mean that this dimension was formerly ruled by the Pony of Shadows and now it’s ruled by Princess Eris? And because Princess Eris was the owner of the Staff of Sacanas, does that means The Storm King, Tempest Shadow, Grubber, Strife, and the Storm Creatures does not exist in that universe?
Because Nightmare Knights was either set before the season 8 finale or set between seasons eight and nine.
Are Discord and Eris related or what?!
I was perfectly fine with him being a minor antagonist.
Wait was that something that the show was trying to accomplish?
Seriously? Ahuizotl? Do people seriously still think he should have been a major antagonist?
Friendship is Magic has not had a strong track record of strictly maintaining the mythology or symbolism of creatures they use. Many of them are just tossed in to have a striking character, especially major antagonists like Ahuizotl.
That sounds like the two roosters from Norse myth; a red one on the roof of Valhalla, and a black one on the roof of Hel’s hall. When Ragnarok comes they’ll crow to signify the end of the gods is come.
i’m not insinuating it’s necessarily a bad design. just… feels out of place for a “lord of chaos”.
Supposedly the last time it crows signals the end of the universe. I could believe it.
Well, that make sense. Chaos’ original meaning is Primordial Void. Also, there’s inexact association of chaos -> entropy -> heat death of the universe.
She says in the next page “…to cause destruction.” Not sure where Masem got corruption.

i’m pretty sure the logic behind this character was what i said here.
If by corruption she means “make population more chaotic”, isn’t Love also stand for corruption? Cadance makes population more lovey-dovey with magic. Same for any other manifestations.

Irony, that would be irony.
wait what if its outwardly chaotic yet leads to more order instead of chaos, What would that be?
Edited
Apparently she stole it from an alternate reality and is using it to drain Alicorn Magic.
“Impossible! Ahriman is a myth!”
Cool.
