The stars and stripes represents the United States of America not the President. The President has the Seal of Office to be identified as.
 
Hating the flag is very ignorantly hating the entire country just because of who is in office. If you don’t like Trump, you should still embrace the flag of your nation because it still represents you just as much as it represents every American citizen. It was no different when Obama was in Washington, and you should love your country despite who is in charge, not because of who is in charge.
 
That would be like me hating the Maple Leaf because I don’t like Justin Trudeau, as a hypothetical example. I don’t have to agree with my government to love my country.

They’d have the second largest economy in the world if they could bring themselves to all work together towards the same goals, and the same is true of the EU.
