Queerbaiting is when a show deliberately– as in, the show is doing it on purpose and it’s not just fans shipping because two characters were onscreen at the same time– teases and taunts a homo/bi relationship between characters without ever committing to making them queer onscreen; a lot of shows that are aware of their fandoms do stuff like that as a way of teasing queer viewers into continuing to watch without actually making a policy statement that might cost them shitheaded homohater viewers or sponsorship from cowardly advertisers.
 
I don’t think it really applies here, since this seems to be more a matter of the series throwin’ a wink-and-nod shoutout to fandom shippers the way it did with Lyra and Bon Bon being _{~best friends}~ than any knowing attempt to lead anyone on.

Yeah, but the problem is that even though people appear to accept these things on the outside, they harbor feelings of superiority, feeling that ‘the natural way’ is better.
 
At some train of thought it is worth mentioning that homosexuals have never departed from ‘the natural way,’ and that they offer something besides trendy women clothes.
 
I for one don’t care where conversation head, but to address the image with more clarity:  
‘Queerbaiting’ is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard to imply that My Little Pony is trying to indoctrinate kids into homosexuality, or even that exposing children to these lifestyles should carry a negative connotation in the first place.
 
When I was a kid I remember actively avoiding friends in public places, in fear that we would be labeled homosexual. ‘Fag’ and ‘homo’ was the biggest insult when I grew up, and homophobia wasn’t something I enjoyed as a kid, straight or not.
