That was only example. You have to agree, 60 minutes of animation (12episodes*5 minutes) in only 5 years, with only one human doing everything is excessive estimation. I’ve seen progress of some his projects in real time, he does not work that fast.

With these things you can’t really say “well X was this, so Y would be this”. These are different people. One guy might make a comic for like decades without losing enthusiasm while another guy can work on a comic with much simpler art for a fraction of the time and just give up.

I highly doubt it. Quality was waaay too high, episodes were waaay to long, Jan would’ve burnt over by now. Maybe two more episodes, and that’s if you’re optimistic.
 
Fluffle Puff Tales, with more ‘economic’ animation, and episodes five times shorter, with almost silent characters, was only 21 episodes before artist burnt over.

I remember that. Some people point to PinkiePosh, since she was mocking people’s reactions to the C&D, but that’s debatable.

Yeah, but Hasbro doesnt know about them, or pretends that doesnt know. Is posible that someone told hasbro about Jan (something like that hapened with an artis that sold pillows) and thanks to USA copyright laws hasbro had to send the C&D

The whole thing was convoluted but it’s unfortunately understandable. Jan’s stuff looked TOO similar to MLP, hence why they did it. Remember that Hasbro loves protecting their brand.

Meghan cares, Larson cares, and so do all the other writers, voice actors, and staff that work directly on the show. The upper executives of Hasbro don’t care but so what? As a Power Rangers fan, I’m used to the situation.

This just cemented it. We’re walking wallets to them. They want our money, not our creativity.

This song got me to realize…Hasbro never cared about us. We started doing these little passion projects because we loved the show. And when I realized that my favorite show is run by profligate corporate hacks that only know the spell that makes more money appear…I cried. Legitimately. The last time I was in that much of an emotional downswing was when I beat Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and found out I was about to be separated from my Pokemon buddy.
 
This is that…on a far greater scale. No joke, I cried for about 15 solid minutes. I was driven to being a 200-pound crying heap all because our fandom is a joke. A cruel, sad joke. One that Hasbro exploits to make more money.

Jan did comics for years before he started his animations (the comics were with the CMC). To think, if he had stuck to just fan comics, we would have at least gotten the Button Mash adventures in some form…

I’m honestly sick and tired of the C&D references. I get it sucks but is this all these people WANT Button Mash to be remembered by? A fucking copyright strike and Jan’s uber ego tantrum post-C&D?
 
I want Button Mash to be remembered as that cute brown foal who played video games, had a mom like him and was shipped with Sweetie Belle.
 
NOT some obnoxious C&D joke, at least something good for once!

I honestly thought it was gonna be a preview animation for a new character that just wears Button’s hat and have his voice..  
But instead….. its a video without Button but its Implied he was once there.  
I guess those 3 other animations of Button leaving/kidnapped in the name of the C&D just isn’t enough. I get that everoyne’s upset about Jan getting C&D’ed but making another sad video referencing the C&D isn’t really helping. Plus didn’t there already existed 2 videos from other animators that had similar HQ animation that already had Button killed off/taken in the name of C&D?
