Apparently this is the same Dingus who said that the CMC’s punishment in Marks for Effort (the episode with Cozy Glow) is more severe than their punishment in the Holiday Annual.
 
He’s not talking about the Gabby Gums episode who’s name escapes me.

Well, the former did it in some sense out of pressure and even when they tried to quit Diamond Tiara still forced them throught blackmail.
 
The second group admitedly did it with more malicious intentions.

Pony CMC got lectured.
 
Human CMC got 6 months detention.

Well I didn’t write the CMC’s plan was “well thought out”, but _ (somewhat accidentally) pretty convicing_ - I also think the CMC didn’t think this through, something I implied with “but the comic shows it got out of hand, to the point the CMC never intended”, and “The CMC also stated they never intended for things to get that bad, and the situation got out of hand, with other students making it much worse for Sunset, than the CMC intended.”, as well by the usage of “accidentally”.
 
And agree with your points (hence I agreed with Alexlayer the comic would arguably work better between the first two movies*).
 
But take again into consideration, what I wrote - the only other possible suspects, were the Humane 5’s families who could know and pst this. People, with a good relationship with their families, usually, or even allmost allways suspect them the last.
 
And the Humane 5 did agree when Sunset brought up basically parts of the points you brought up, that it doesn’t make Sunset did it.
 
*Although a plot point in the comic is how close Sunset is to pony Twilight, and how she is basically her last friend/last person pony she can relly on, which wouldn’t work that well after the first movie, as Sunset and Twilight got really close during Rainbow Rocks, not to metion Sunset wouldn’t by in regular contact with Twilight via the journal.

Not very well thought actually.
 
1 They should take into account that Sunset doesn’t gain anything from it. Sunset consistently seems to be the kind of girl who aims for an objective, like power or magic control. The whole thing if you think about it does nothing but paint a target at Sunset. It’s noted that Sunset would do things in a way that keeps her from the sniping radar, but the anon-a-miss thing plays in a way that says “Hiya im sunset”.
 
2 What’s if the main characters feels so betrayed they’re not in the mood to do happy things? What if Applejack feels in a sour mood that she isolates more from her family so she can proccess what happened? What of Rarity dejects Sweetie Belle because she feels so wounded, and keep on mind it would be because of Sunset’s “betrayal”, but stressed peoplee can often isolate themselves even from people that (supposedly) has nothing to do with? And besides, they are also planning a christmas party, so taking Sunset out of the equation probably wouldn’t do any good if they’re still busy with other things.
 
3 Given that the school gave them material for the blog, what if they found material regarding their own? They’re put in a no win situation. Either they don’t publish anything at all and make themselves suspects for someone with a good perception. Or they just publish it and humiliate themselves in the proccess. And what’s if is something pne of the crusaders doesn’t know? There would be mistrust between themselves as well if is something big.
 
4 Have things not solved on the right time, after what Sunset wrote, princess Twilight would intervene, and given that she dealt with something lile that before, she could get the CMC eventually. Sure, princess duties and all, but who says she wouldn’t take a time to attend that? She takes her princess of friendship title seriously, and a friendship problem like this would still cap her attention.
 
5 Given how magic reacted in the first movie and RR, isn’t that suspicious that the redeemed and worthy of the harmony powers Sunset reverted back despite the magical lie detector thing? She was a bitch in the first movie, so the magic of harmony reacted in a negative way. She was redeemed and worked hard for forgiveness, and the magic in RR turned her into good pony mode. So, doesn’t that count for something?
 
6 What if someone still doesn’t believe Sunset did it? Someone probably with low emotional attachment to the thing or with enought appreciation for Sunset, either way, someone willing to play as the good samaritan wouldn’t be impulsive to blame Sunset and would be able to actually think logically, and given the aforement points, it would en badñy for the crusaders. Remember as well, 0 and 100 percent doesn’t exist in the social rules, someone willing to help her would do what he/she can to bring the culprits down. Despite beong “the biggest meanie” because of the memory stone in Forgotten Friendship, some of the students like Maud, Microchips and Trixie didn’t behave with vitriol to Sunset.
 
 
Im willing to bypass the emotional aspects since it kinda fits, but I don’t think the plan was exactly well thought. Sure the cmc were 10-nish years old, but it still doesn’t mean the plan was well thought. Make sense, all of the characters reacted out of impulse.

Although I think the writer wanted to explore the flawed nature of the Humane 5, and of humans in general. If ultimatelly showing humanity is flawed, not malicious (ie the Humane 5 ultimatelly believed Sunset, when she gone to talk it out with them near the end, the CMC felt really bad about this, aparently through all the time when the hate towards Sunset got bad, just before the ending, they were to scared to admit it was them, not Sunset.)
 
The CMC’s plan, was also (somewhat accidentally) pretty convicing - as they framed Sunset for revealing things only Sunset, and the Humane 5’s family and each other knew.
 
But still, I agree it would probably work better if placed before Rainbow Rocks.

Agan, I don’t thik the comic is so bad, it even has some quite good parts.
 
I admit maybe CMCs manipulation, caused to much grief - but the comic shows it got out of hand, to the point the CMC never intended, they themselves confessed, and got a fairly harsh punishment - 6 months of detention (that’s one and half a semester of detention, eeeing the school semester is about 4 months), which shows they were probably in risk of being suspended in student rights - and I can agree the Human 5 to quickly believed it was Sunset, but they did believe her in the end.

I haven’t read the comic, but the premise keeps me from reading it. That being said, I think the worst part often comes from the fact that the event spawned several Dark fics, and some of them feel too mean spirited and/or too depressive, althought there’s some others that I like and are often not very dark, althought they indeed points out how out of proportion some things went in the comic.

Yes, I read and remember the comic, I just made a joke.
 
And I’m not sure it made the Mane 5 to be horrible people - it just shown them as quite flawed. It’s not that different, from how they easily quarelled in Rainbow Rocks. And yes, I think the Mane 5 allready had some ussues, which Sunset exploited - the 2013 prequell comic even suggests it.
 
One has also note that the Humane 5, also were shown as less mature than their pony counterparts in Rainbow Rocks - which has sense, as they had only one encounter (in Rainbow Rocks), or 2 (after it), that allowed the to develop similary as their pony counterparts.
 
In generall, there is a bit of a theme human counterparts, can be more flawed - another even more pominent example, is Filthy Ritch.
 
I can see why people think the comic writer went overboard with showing the Humane 5 and CMC as flawed.
 
To be clear though, the CMC did realize how horrible their actions are, and confesed. And they did get punished - the CMC got 6 moths of detention - just people thought they should be suspended in student rights for their actions. Probably And the Humane 5 did believe Sunset ultimatelly, that she wsn’t guilty, even before the CMC confessed.
 
The CMC also stated they never intended for things to get that bad, and the situation got out of hand, with other students making it much worse for Sunset, than the CMC intended.

Not to mention their actions spawned deppressing and sometimes cruel fanfics that often makes oyu wonder if they’re made only to either dish out dirt on the rainbooms and the cmc and/or make Sunset a suicidal squid.

Go read the comic if you haven’t yet, and remember that it came out right after Rainbow Rocks – before Friendship Games solidified Sunset’s position. It felt like a slap in the face, and it was worst because it felt so plausible. No one in the comic was out-of-character in the slightest: Sunset was in a very vulnerable position, the CMC are uncontrollable and have gotten away with a ridiculous amount of stuff already, and the Rainbooms, as also suggested by how easily Sunset drove them apart before the first movie, just might be terrible people. That’s what made it feel so bleak, and why so few people have forgotten it.

They were in on this scheme of making Sunset look like an awful person again through social media. They put down all the personal, silly, and embarrassing things about the HuMane 7 they got from their slumber party, using Sunset as an alias. From what I can remember, the reason was because the CMC’s older sisters/idol was hanging around their friends a lot recently and the girls got jealous?

I know that this is referencing Twilight’s punishment in Marks for Effort but, what did they do in EqG? I don’t read the comics so I wouldn’t know.

Again Twilight what they Sabotage one of us students out of spite and when she found out they didn’t they were brought back to the school and made tutors
