Ok that was my mistake, but my point about the barn stands.
They were captured not by Tirek, but by Discord, whom they trusted (cause Twilight, in her attempt to keep the power transfer a secret, neglected to warn them about his betrayal). It’s kinda hard to Rainnuke somebody, when you were stabbed in a back by supposed ally before you have a chance to properly fight them…
Funny, that Tirek captured Rainbow Dash before his battle with Twilight Sparkle. Where was the Sonic Rainnuke then? What proof do you even have that the Sonic Rainnuke was as destructive as it looked? All it did was blow a rickety old barn to smithereens. There wasn’t even a crater. Face it: Rainbow Dash isn’t as powerful as you think she is.
Don’t even try to argue with him. It’ll only end badly…
Nah. The force needed to do what Twilight did to the Library in The Crystal Empire is a lot more than what the Sonic Rainnuke displayed.
Also, Twilight has literally grabbed Rainbow out of the air (during flight) with her telekinesis, and Starlight (who Twilight dodged blasts from) managed to hit filly Rainbow while she was a split second from doing a Sonic Rainboom. Accuracy would only be a problem if Twilight tried to laser her instead of using telekinesis or an AoE spell.

I wouldn’t bother trying to argue with vaidelot their title has them practically admitting that they’re a huge rainbow dash fanboy/girl, I wouldn’t be surprised if they believe that rainbow dash could beat the flash in a one on one fight.

If you’re speaking about the spell from “Castle-Mania”, it’s areal and needs time and concentration to cast, therefore it’s pretty useless against fast and actively evading target. Twi only used it on the ponies who was too preoccupied by panicking/fighting for a reason.

A single pony would be easy.
Even simplest combat spells still require casting time and concentration, so for someone as quick as Dash avoiding one is pretty plausible, especially the one casted by somebody, whose mind is clouded with anger. And, speaking of “overwhelming force”, the only time Twi conjured something close in power to Sonic Rainnuke is when she had the power of four Alicorns…

Overwhelming force trumps speed any day. The reason why is simple. She can use her magic faster than Rainbow can move and if she is angry enough she can make a blast that Rainbow wont escape from.
That time when she was unable to hit slowly levitating Starlight properly? Said Starlight, by the way, later was easily captured by Pharinx who simply evaded her combat spell. So I doubt that any of them would be much of a threat for a world’s fastest Pegasus, especially on a short distance.
Well how about the time she fought Starlight, didn’t need any combined princess powers for that…
