Most people respond to “It was a joke” with either “Oh” or “ I don’t get it” rather than demanding an explanation for why it wasn’t properly marked for them. Then when I do try to explain where I’m coming from, as you’ve demanded, you argue with me about that. There’s enough people in the world that not everybody’s gonna understand everybody 100% of the time. But you’re seriously coming at me like I’ve wronged you personally and/or I owe you something, and it’s getting old. Not that I expect you’d be able (or willing) to imagine how demanding you might theoretically seem to someone on the other side of this, but I needed to vent.

Yes. It’s a pun on “barely legal”, which refers to adult materials involving a woman who is above the age of consent but not by much. But I didn’t think I should specify that, since the only person I know of who can reliably make footnotes entertaining was the late Terry Pratchett.
I try to make someone laugh, and I get this. I don’t know why I bother.
In this case they were. Nothing about the questions had a hostile tone to it.
Was the title supposed to give it away, or the description? What is the suggestive implication? “Barely regal” is that some inside sexual joke im not in on? And an episode where Twilight, ember, and Thorax confront thier issues with leadership is a totally legitemate concept, so that cant be it. I really dont get it

Well, there’s your problem.
If someone’s responding to a post, you should generally read the post they’re responding to before you respond to theirs. Don’t intentionally ignore context and then complain about not having any.

The two aren’t mutually exclusive.
For someone who has been here for 6 years you sure have been lucky with spoilers. Half of season 8 was spoiled to me on derpibooru, and half of those were comments. The tone and way you wrote your comment sounded like a “well actually” type of comment, especially for someone who hasnt seen the one you responded to. I am not being hostile, i am simply asking you questions.

It was a response to another joke post, the image itself is a joke about an episode having a name with less than family-friendly implications and thus an appropriate place for a risque pun, there was the whole setup-and-punchline structure, and there was the utter implausibility of some random guy dropping unmarked season 9 spoilers in the comments for some random image. I don’t know what else I was supposed to do or why you’re being so hostile about it.
What part of your comment was supposed to give away that it was a joke? Why should i have thought you were joking?
