@LuismiPro465
There we can somewhat agree, because, to be frank, the writers don’t know what to do with the Justice League when Superman is right there.
@LuismiPro465
Do you need me to quote the lines from episode 2?
’Cause I will:
Tia: Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student. I knew you could do it.
Twiggles: But… you told me it was all an old pony tale.
Tia: I told you that you needed to make some friends, nothing more. I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon’s return, and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat her, but you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart.
I had a “rant” like most posts here do, but ill cut it and keep it short. You seem to be heavily Luna fanboying and trying to turn Lunas flaws and mistakes into some instances of her being “useful” when shes literally just as useless as Celestia, only with the negative of several attempts at destroying the world that you try to spin into her being useful (NMM and creating the Tantabus)
The Tantabus got defeated because Twilight convinced Luna to stop wallowing in self pitty and forgive herself. Luna literally did nothing except create the creature that almost destroyed the world.
In the show start NMM wasnt trying to “unite” the Main 6, she tried to do the opposite.
And you seem to not have watched the show past season 5 since you seem to lack some basic info…
@Background Pony #B1FC
I’m just talking about THE SHOW. I said it earlier in another reply.
Also, I didn’t read your reply completely, I’m tired of arguing, so we shall conclude. She’s been useful for a lot of time, but she’s been useless throughout the show.
@LuismiPro465
You’d have to have read any of the side material on the show to understand. Books, comics, they all add up.
“She plans? Do you really think she found all the 6 ponies who would represent the elements, got them together and made them the protectors of Equestria? Did you even watch the show? Celestia didn’t even know a thing about Nightmare Moon being able to get back to Equestria, and when she did, SHE made Twilight become friends with the other 5. It was Nightmare Moon who made the Mane 6 exist, not Celestia. Celestia just wanted Twilight to make some friends, that’s why she sent her to Ponyville, a town with humble and kind ponies, a fairly easy place to make friends.”
Yeah… you really kinda missed the point there. Celestia is somewhat prescient. She has visions. They are not perfect, but they help her see a correct path to take. Why else have the festival in Ponyville (the place nearest to where she’d stored the elements) exactly 1000 years after her sister was imprisoned? Again, it’s not perfect, but do you think she was doing this entirely randomly and just got lucky?
Who do you think even planted the legend of NMM returning in 1000 years? Celestia was the only one that even knew her sister had turned, created a holiday around her sister, and in turn, leaked the legend about her.
“Also, Celestia didn’t “newly met Cadance and made her a princess”. I think it took way longer than “Hey, I just met you, and I like you, so here you go, a horn just for you. Now go to my school and be the governor of the Crystal Empire”.”
There you have to have read the books. Celestia literally met Cadence after she ascended and yes, made her a princess. We don’t have that story in the show, only in the book.
“What the- You don’t even know what you’re talking about, do you? Actually, the Mane Six saved Canterlot from the invasion. Twilight made Cadence get out of her prison, and THANKS to that, Cadence could join Shining Armor again and defeat the changelings. If it wasn’t for Twilight, Cadence would still be trapped and Shining Armor would be hipnotized forever or something else. “
Again, it comes down to who put the pieces in place. If Celestia hired Shining, she’s the reason he’s there. Without her having made that decision, we have a different captain of the guard, and a bad end in which the changelings take over.
@LuismiPro465
Celestia sent Twilight to Ponyville with the intention of meeting the other Elements. That much is clear from Celestial Advice. It was very strongly implied she did so because of Nightmare Moon’s return. Perhaps if you rewatch that episoe..?
@Twilestia @LuismiPro465
Exactly. There’s more to ruling than being able to kick all of the ass yourself. You make a government, you hire ponies to protect the populace. Who hired Shining Armor? Celestia. Who ousted the Changelings? Shining. So who, ultimately, made it so the changelings didn’t over?
Same thing with Cadence. Celestia found her, newly ascended, and took her in. Trained her in magic, in governance, made her the princess she is.
Celestia is not, first and foremost, a warrior. Yes, she can fight, she has the power to do so, but more so, she plans. She finds 6 ponies who will attune to the elements, makes sure her student is in the right place to meet the other five, and ultimately gets her sister back, simultaneously ridding the world of a villain and gaining a powerful ally again. That is very useful.

Well, at least Luna did more things that Celestia has done while the show happens. Yes, I’m talking about what happens IN the show, not after ot before. I’m saying that IN THE SHOW, she’s useless.
Well, Luna SAVED Equestria from the Tantabus, helps ponies in their dreams, and I’m forgetting something else…
Luna did way more things than Celestia. Mainly as an antagonist, but heck, if it wasn’t for NMM, the Mane 6 wouldn’t be friends, thus, Equestria would be under the control of NMM, Tirek or Storm King. And yes, it was Celestia who sent Twilight to Ponyville, but it was Luna (NMM) who made her realize that the rest were their friends and stuff.
I doubt a pair of wings ever gave Twilight more power. How are wings related to magic? Also, making her an alicorn does not prove she’s able to protect her kingdom.
Well, I’m not saying that she must be powerful enough to defeat EVERYTHING to protect Equestria, but heck, she could have done something against the giant booger, or even against the powerless and magicless changelings. Yet she didn’t even appear then. Also, Princess Cadance and Prince Shining Armor were strong enough to protect their nation by themselves. I think they defeated Sombra once before needing Twilight and the rest to aid them.
Well, Twilight has saved Equestria (alongside her friends) several times IN THE SHOW. I repeat, I’m talking about what happens IN the show, not before or after, we all know Celestia was useful back then against Discord and those.
I don’t even remember what happened in that episode, so I can’t say anything about it.
Well, they lost the elements time ago, and could still protect/save Equestria, and I think Twilight could do everything she’s done (but for every political and diplomatic stuff) without the ability to fly, even though she could levitate and float before thanks to her magic.
What do I consider as being useful? In this case, well, I don’t even ask for much. If Celestia had shown up back then in the Changeling invasion (in Canterlot) and had protected Canterlot, as Changelings are fairly easy to defeat with magic, and the ruler or Equestria should know about that, it’d have been enough for me to consider her useful. But she just sat in her throne for the whole show, gave Twilight wings, got covered in booger (and cake once, IIRC), made Twilight have her own school and made lots and lots of pancakes for herself and her sister. Oh, she also smiles for pictures with foals.
I think this is taking too long. Shall we conclude?

This mini series concluded back then.
The guy is a professional artist and probably has a lot of other things to work on.
Oh I’m fully aware of how busy he is, but it is a wish none the less.
@Background Pony #6D89
Neva nuff plot!
With plenty of plot shots.
Alas, it is not to be.
Pencils is working on other things now. I don’t know if this series is coming back.
Yes, you’re right. My apologies.
Nice then haha.
Ah, alright, you got me there. You’re right.
The first episode of season 7.
There we can somewhat agree, because, to be frank, the writers don’t know what to do with the Justice League when Superman is right there.
Do you need me to quote the lines from episode 2?
’Cause I will:
Huh?
What? Now you’re being rude. I’m just saying Luna did more things IN THE SHOW, despite those being bad, than Celestia in general.
AND also destroyed the creature.
I know, but thanks to her, they did unite.
Actually, I have watched it until season 8. I’ve only seen some episodes of season 8.
I repeat: Shall we conclude? I’m not gonna keep arguing uselessly.

Celestial advice… What season is it?
I remember perfectly when Twilight told Celestia about NMM’s possible arrival and she didn’t even believe her.
You’d have to have read any of the side material on the show to understand. Books, comics, they all add up.
