To be fair to TWABA, no other species in Equestria is better at espionage and stealth attacks than the changelings (they can literally shape-shift into anyone and anything–including rocks–after all), so capturing the mane 6 is definitely possible with the right plan in place.

It’s not just Twilight who was nerfed immensely in S5 onward, OP. The rest of the mane six suffered the same fate as well; to the point where they can’t even defeat villains anymore (I mean, they got kidnapped by Queen Bugbutt at the end of S6!).

Except Twilight is only OP when the script calls for her to be OP. To suggest she’s ever been strong definitively on her own is a complete misnomer.
 
I love Twiggles, but all we’re seeing now is the script not calling for her to be a badass much anymore because, like Celestia, she’s a teacher now.
 
Most people also forget that Twilight being OP is frequently cited as a problem with early episodes. The inconsistency only makes it worse, like her forgetting how to teleport most of the time because the writers forget she can.
