The artist, assuming they are still GraceBL, is Chinese herself. I’m guessing she thought no more about that style of tattoo than we think of soldiers with ‘American’ tattoos like Semper Fi.

I had a bad feeling they were being harassed. That’s sad that these people were doing this to them to the point they felt they had to delete their art. Hopefully that won’t happen again.

People really complained about graceBL drawing Flash and Twilight being together and the whining became harassment when the artist started drawing Flash with his sheath (owo).

I’m wondering if art theft had something to do with it myself. GraceBL pretty much never had watermarks on any of their old work and now it’s plastered on every image they’re uploaded to their new account and most of the images look like they were scaled down, which could be another theft deterrent.

That’s unfortunate. I hope they weren’t being harassed or anything like that. One of my friends had to deactivate her DeviantArt account for a similar reason, albeit it was years ago and for a different fandom (DC comics fans can get super pissed sometimes).

I really like this artist’s style, and that they draw Flashlight and Flash Sentry too! I don’t mind Flash’s buff frame at all, he is a stallion and in the royal guard too. So he might need to keep in shape, which explains his figure. Also I think it’s great to see such a talented person drawing Flash, in my opinion he’s a great character.
 
Most importantly though, it’s nice to see this artist posting again. But I wonder what happened to them? They were originally with a different account on DeviantArt, and then they deactivated it. Only to come back later again with a new one, but sadly they’re isolating themselves and won’t make contact with anyone on DA.
 
I hope nothing bad happened to them, and I wish they’d return to being GraceBL. Lot of their art from before, which could’ve been faved will be removed after the deactivation expires. Which is too bad.
 
And you know something, I have this feeling that maybe haters were involved with their first departure. I know Flash isn’t the most liked character in MLP, but if people disliked their art just because of him then they shouldn’t be there in the first place. It’s only a thought, but I feel it could be a possible reason.

Okay, that’s a bit much.
