I’m going to admit right now that the constant assumptions of Mary-Sue qualities is becoming irritating. Why is it that when we see something like a new Element or scenes of humans interacting with well known members of the MLP cast in positive ways that we think “Mary Sue” or “Gary Stu”?
If anything, Equestria as a whole is one big Mary Sue, a world that is virtually perfect. So how do additions cooked up in the minds of fans come off as Mary-Sueish when Equestria itself is practically Mary-Sue material when it comes right down to it?
Unfortunately, no.
