28 Pranks Later totally makes sense as a season 2 episode. Which is what I’m counting it as.

I understand that Equestria Girls is canon, but you can’t make me care about what happens in it.

It’s incredible how many people are still in denial about this. You don’t have to like Equestria Girls for it to be canon. I don’t even like every episode of FiM and the only one I’ve ever declared not canon was 28 Pranks Later, an episode I DID like on it’s own merits but which completely failed to make sense in context. Fortunately, much like what appears to be the case with Fame and Misfortune (easily regarded as not canon as well, really), the events of that episode aren’t likely to ever be mentioned again.
 
But the thing is, my opinion on the status of these episodes in my own mind doesn’t mean they’re not still canon. It’s like Disney acting like Kyle Katarn didn’t exist despite all the games he was in. Canon can be subjective, and even rewritten (retcon, anyone?) but some things can’t be denied.

Yummy bait. Yum yum. I accepted EqG as canon the first time they said it was, but the only purpose of this now is to start fights.
