Or they’re embarrassed by it. Considering how the finished product turned out, I wouldn’t get my hopes up about whatever might have wound up on the cutting room floor.
Yeah the abscence of that is odd.
Unless most stuff never made it past the concept stage.
Pardon my lateness, but I seem to recall seeing some other animated movies show their deleted scenes by putting voice acting over the storyboards. While that would probably still cost quite a bit of money, it may not necessarily be quite as much as you think.
Apparently only humans are worth audio commentary, not ponies.
It’s called Manufacturer’s suggested retail price. Places like Target, Wal-Mart that buy these in volume are able to undercut that.
The way that the movie was made (compared to the show/EQG), deleted scenes would be costly and time consuming. And it’s not like they had Pixar/Dreamworks resources to make “fake” deleted scenes.
