@Timstro59
(I’m aware that this is old and has nothing to do with the previous conversation) Wasn’t “The Human Centipede” intended to be a lighthearted comedy?
@AwkwardLuna
I can understand why you would criticize something like this , which isn’t normal but you are still making a big mistake which is tying the artist directly with his work. While artists may show how they feel or think trough their art , assumptions cant always be made like that
@AwkwardLuna
Can you please stop going around to all the gore pictures and speculating about the sanity of the artist. We know the difference between fiction and reality. If you’ve got a problem with it just blacklist it and stop being an ass.
Stating your opinion about something is fine, but that doesn’t mean you should go around insulting everyone who likes things you don’t like.
@zippysqrl
When people make something like this in any medium for pure enjoyment it does indeed raise some questions about them. Again, if they’re putting it in public they should be prepared for blunt judgement and honesty.
@AwkwardLuna
Just making a light remark.
…Though one might think the same kind of things about the people that made those films/games. since it’s just another creative medium, with similar disturbing themes.
@zippysqrl
Oh that’s cute, going that route already? I’m not calling for censorship, I’m just calling out people. If someone can’t take it they should make an image like this public.
@AwkwardLuna
lmao i didn’t commission shit, i ain’t paying money for jokes
not sure how liking some transgressive imagery means being ill, it’s been a thing since the fucking romans, but whatever, mate, I guess we should all stop reading the Satyricon too
@habitantunholycity
First off, I refer you to my previous post. Secondly the fact that you knowingly commissioned this doesnt do anything to conivce me that everyone involved doesn’t need a healthy helping of meds mixed into their breakfast cereal.
@AwkwardLuna
Mate, let me break it to you. Dankflank doesn’t like this stuff, I requested this of him as a a joke.
Not only that, but a quick look at the description would reveal that it’s a reference to Sarah Kane’s play “Blasted”, which deals with the subject of rape during warfare.
@zippysqrl
Good point. Open minded and mentally ok would be a better way to phrase what I previously said. Also, if one consciously takes a commission to make a picture like this (and do an excellent job of it) it doesn’t speak well of them.
@AwkwardLuna
You only draw the line at that because that’s your own personal degree of standards.
Everyone’s standards vary greatly, some like X but draw the line at Y, some like Y but draw the line at X, is X worse than Y or Y worse than X? it’s all subjective.
Very low (or almost non-existent) standards when it comes to doing requests does not indicate mental instability.
@zippysqrl
I’m pretty sure that one can be open minded but draw the line at bayonet-rape and the like. Given that this is clearly fetish art is say it certainly does reflect on the mental state and interests of the artist.
@AwkwardLuna
Further proof that some people really, really need to stop being so close minded and assuming that what artists draw reflect on their psychology in any way.
Go cry in your safe space, snowflake.
Hmm… Ok
I don’t know, I haven’t seen it yet.

While that statement is true for most. I don’t think the creators of The Human centipede fall under that category.

And I guess we should take all horror movies and violent games off the shelves too.
