Weird looking cat but I’ll take it

I have a cat that looks in the direction you point at, appears to recognize that the other cat in the mirror is actually her because she primps in it and uses it to inspect her backside and parts that are hard to see while she does it, and will actually turn around to look away and behind her if she sees another cat or me reflected in the mirror. Those are abstract concepts that even (very young) humans can have a hard time comprehending. And while I don’t truly know how smart she is, exactly, she’s done other things that most people would insist a cat wouldn’t or coulid be able to do, which has led me to the conclusion that her intelligence is positively uncanny for a cat.

The other two cats here don’t do any of those things.

Normal cats sometimes sprout wings and molt. I saw it on a documentary once. Don’t let the anti-cat lobby try to pigeonhole your cat into a narrow, restrictive paradigm.

In my experience the intelligence of cats varies immensely between individuals.

One of my cats often comes in and lays on my bed (it’s just a single sized bed BTW) whether I’m there or not, but he always lays way too close to the edge.  
He has fallen off no less than ten times in the past week.

Also like people, some cats are just super dumb. One we had would climb into the bathtub to attack the ripples in the water, then go full panic mode because he fell into water. And he would do this every single time the tub was filled XD
 
Of course, the funny part of this was the other cat who would watch this whole spectacle every single time with a glare, like “Why the hell do you keep doing that?” XD

Oh, could be worse. One of my cats, while grooming herself, forgot what she was doing halfway through, so she just looked at me, with her tongue still hanging out of her mouth. She’s been doing stuff like that since she was a kitten and never grew out of it. It’s adorable.

Except this one cat I used to have, who was legit confused for a solid twenty seconds when we moved his food dish like 6 inches while he was eating one time.
 
He never was the brightest. But he was so sweet and adorable :D
