It probably pops on first-contact with anything, or was kept going my Twilight’s spell-casting. Since she needed contact with Pinkie to save her (or she needed to cast a spell to remove her from the rocks), that meant no bubble. That’s my theory anyway. ¯*(ツ)*/¯
