I have read the whole story, and it is not explicitly said how long they live, but I assume as long as a normal human without youth-treatment, which is kinda long if you think about it.
It is said there were more than ten-billion persons on the Earth plus they ‘produce’ them on conveyor belt now. I always thought companies would give these things 10-20 years lifespan at maximum, so you should always buy a new one, and there were no too much of them at a time.

as far as i remember, it did. Ponies in that cyberpunk-ish world are just syunthetic creatures with artifical intellect and memories, installed on the factory. They keep those memories and character traits as far as they don’t know the truth. Though they can be set free by their owners and some ponies actually keep their memories, because that’s the only thing that used to form their personmality
