I think Rob focuses more on the Los Angeles voice talent pool. I wonder if he does travel to Vancouver, though? I’m curious, now! It might be worth asking him about it. :)
 
Voiceprint has a lot of the Vancouver talent pool as guests! A lot of the episodes are pretty MLPFIM, but are highly entertaining anyway.

From everything I’ve heard through various voice actor podcasts, such as Trevor Devall’s VoicePrint and Rob Paulsen’s Talkin’ Toons voice actors and actresses love acting and happily put their all into whatever gig they can land. As I understand it, fan reception doesn’t really factor into whether they enjoy acting for a character or not. It’s a bonus when fans like it, of course, but they’re most at home in the studio.

I don’t know…do VAs care if their chara are “unpopular” with the “fandom”? I mean, if I was a VA, well…a paycheck’s a paycheck. If I was VA and my chara gets a speaking role every two episodes and I get paid for it, I’m not sure if I want to complain about how she’s treated by fans.
 
I would be worried if my chara is taken out due to unpopularity, sure, but at Glimmer’s been a regular for two seasons straight, and unless we’re misreading the trend, I’d say she’s gonna stay for a little longer.
 
Not saying Kelly Sheridan shouldn’t be happy. If she was happy about it, then great.
