Lol what counts as fascination? I like animal people/anthros because when I was growing up all of the good cartoons were about anthropomorphic characters. I grew up with them.

That’s really simplifying it. And to also be fair the word “anthropomorphic animals” is a very, very broad spectrum. You’re talking from minimal anthropomorphic characters like a simple talking dog to fully anthropomorphic characters that are indistinguishable from the average person and everything in-between. 
If you break it down to the barest definition, mayhaps, but there’s more to both labels than that. A lot more.

Do you find yourself sexually attracted to animals, whether real life, from television, or from art itself? You’re a furry.

Well, it’s more about motive than anything. To give a general and admittedly oversimplified explanation, if you like the talking animals because of the show, you’re a brony. If you like the show because it’s about talking animals, you’re a furry.
 
And if, like me, you like shows about intelligent non-humans but would just as easily accept robots or aliens rather than ponies, you’re a xenophile.
