Yeah but they aren’t as normal so are they really a good comparison? I do think in this comic they are much more human. Not evil but not angels either.
Yeah, but far too many humans are ‘pretty insane’ and we can’t just dismiss them all as not that human. They’re still human, this is still something that resides in pretty much all of us just to varying degrees, and it’s still enough of an issue that were i ever to come across actual aliens i’d never describe humans as the optimal race.
We’ve done a lot of good but we’ve also started so much shit. I don’t want the multi-colored ponies mirroring it.

Shutting out the dialogue, eh? I’d be willing to give that a try, but it’s easier said then done. Especially as i’m pretty sure there’s been at least one instance where one of the first comments on a new image has been people calling out those with mindsets like you and I, starting this ‘fight’ back up before we’d posted a single comment ourselves, positive or otherwise.
Aye, with you. I can agree the art is good, I don’t agree with TL’s personality or the themes present, but shutting out the dialogue helps enjoy the visual, which is what most people are arguing we do.
I said ‘since when is being human necessarily a good thing’? You responded ‘isn’t it always’? Adolf Hitler was my strongest example/point that no, being human is in fact not necessarily a good thing. I most certainly don’t wish to see anyone in this universe behaving ‘that human’.

It isn’t. That’s part of why we like MLP in the first place, the characters aren’t human, and this extends beyond looks.

perhaps as simple as it sounds he just wants the fans to enjoy his comic, he once just said he likes that his work is probably enough for everyone to discuss so deep about it.
This is just the sake of the kink, Thunder being dick here, Lyra being pushed into the situation, probably formed to like the deal of sex and money in the first place. No more no less. Its kink porn. It is. End of story

The artist is making Thunderlane into a pushy, ego centric character who treats Lyra as meat.
Lyra was reluctant, but did it for payment, and this is for more payment, but he is rubbing her the wrong way the entire time and is being brash and now, she CAN’T back out because of the threat of him blabbing her to everyone as a slut, when HE came to HER in the first place.
it’s infuriating.
