Exactly, as if a player tries to create a stalemate to not lose, then the winning player could just avoid the stalemate too.

I don’t know why they are upset really. This stalemate would be extremely hard to do accidentally. It requires such silly and illogical moves that the only real way to do it is if it is done intentionally by both players.
