Comic 44 came out in May 1987. It’s a surprisingly weird and folkloric issue, my favourite type.

The titular story, The Maytime Show, is chock full of weird pony fertility rituals and ends up with ~~Fluttershy getting lei’d~~ Posey getting garlanded with flowers by Majesty after jumping over a wishing well full of milky white fluid courtesy of Princess Pearl. No, I am not making this up.
