No matter how I love her, Luna is not as strong-willed as Celestia
and the thousand years would put out the fire that Nightmare set in
Luna’s heart. She’d snap out of Nightmare mode and probably freak out.
I’d give it about… 250 years.
By the time Twiligtht is born, BOTH alicorns would probably be just legends…
