I hope you won’t mind then if I’ll throw some Nyx lore your way. :P
 
Nyx’s outfit is meant to be a disguise, supposed to keep her Nightmare Moon origins a secret; her glasses, in particular, were enchanted by Twilight in order to cover up her NM eyes, and make them appear normal (including making the sclera white).
